Administrator's Bio


Angela Jones is an Idahoan, born and raised in Boise. She attended Boise State University with an emphasis in political science.

Ms. Jones was appointed as Interim Administrator on August 4, 2003.  At the ICBVI Board meeting on November 4, 2003, the Commissioners made Ms. Jones's appointment as Administrator permanent.   Ms. Jones's management and entrepreneurial skills include 16 years of business management experience.  During this time, she has been a business consultant/trouble shooter for three local companies and an owner/operator of four restaurants in the Treasure Valley. She has two years of experience in Idaho state service previous to this appointment she was the supervisor for the ICBVI Business Enterprise Program.    She brings to the position proven leadership abilities, as well as team building and personnel management skills.  Ms. Jones's goal for the agency is to advance its performance into the top five blind agencies in the nation with respect to employment outcome and independent living for the blind and visually impaired of Idaho.

One of Ms. Jones's long time hobbies has been participating as an ice hockey player for over 20 years.
